Live Life Polished Review

Hello Kittens!

I can't believe I've been so lazy in getting new blog posts. I'm so sorry, so very, very sorry.

Cause I had to add him once I realized what I said.

That being said, I've been wanting to show you guys these nails for awhile now. Two weeks ago I went to Funk in the City, which is a pretty cool little art festival in the art district of a nearby city. While there, I met Tammy, of Live Life Polished. This is a fantastic maker who lives in the Midwest and designs 5 free, cruelty free polishes. I got some very exciting new colors at her booth and I fell in love with her polish! Definitely one of my absolute favorite makers! So here we go!!

Peachy Keen

This beauty is Peachy Keen, a gorgeous peach/melon color perfect for Summer fun.
What can I say about this polish that isn't self-evident? It's so pretty and pun, and I love how it reminds me of fruit just by looking at it. Application was wonderful and smooth.

This picture shows 2 coats of Peachy Keen sans undies with one coat of Seche Vite.

Shocking Pink

Truth, kittens. Shocking Pink is the first polish I gravitated towards at Tammy's booth. I love this color. It is such a bright pink. Incredibly vivid and I (we) instantly fell in love with each other. Tammy's polish is a dream to apply and this polish is true to it's shocking name, needing only 2 coats without undies to achieve this look. That's right, I didn't have to layer this neon beauty over white to get her to pop at all!!

Sunshine on a Cloudy Day

Can you see yet, kittens, that I'm a sucker for neons? I love neons a lot. This beauty is a neon lime green that really pops in person. I got this as a freebie mini from Tammy's booth, and I'm digging this little cutie. Sunshine on a Cloudy Day has micro glitter in it to give just the tiniest hint of shimmer and as always, application was lovely. The rippling on my index finger is from the Seche Vite and me being impatient!

Fun in the Sun

Next is Tammy's first thermal of the group that I purchased. This is Fun in the Sun which is a yellow to peach thermal. I'm normally not a yellow person, but I really like the yellow of this particular polish. It was a little strange during the application on this as I got one coat on and it started warming up to my body temperature, I was putting the second coat on which was cold. It felt very strange like I was covering my polish up! Overall, application was fun but with a few small hiccups because of the shifting colors.

These pictures show three coats with one coat of Seche Vite.

Warm is shown here on the left and cold is on the right.

Purple People Eater

Purple People Eater is the second thermal I picked up and it's a pale pink to purple thermal. This is hands down one of my favorites that I bought. I love looking at thermals and these are my first two. Application was dreamy like a fudgsicle.

What A Wonderful World

What A Wonderful World is a white crelly with medium pink hexes, blue, pink and aqua mini hexes, and green and blue microglitter. This was also a freebie mini I got with purchase. At first I wasn't digging this polish so much, but after application I changed my tune and sure wish I'd gotten a full size of this gorgeous crelly. I had no problems getting glitters out but if you're really wanting a lot of the larger pink hexes you may need to fish them out and hand place them. Otherwise, application was smooth sailing.

These pictures show two coats of What A Wonderful World over one coat of Formula X - White Matter and topped off with one coat of Seche Vite.

Midnight Love

Midnight Love is a clear based glitter topper with a multitude of different shades of purple and blue mini hexes and micro glitter. One of my favorites, I realized pretty quickly that while it may take a while, Midnight Love could probably be built up to opacity. Very easy to apply and I didn't have to place glitter by dabbing at all.

This shows one (ONE!) coat of Midnight Love over two coats of Formula X - White Matter and topped with one coat of Seche Vite.

Redbird Nation

Redbird Nation is also a clear based glitter topper with red hexes and squares, smaller red and pearly squares and large white circles. This polish is lovely to work with and I used the dabbing method for everything but the large white circles. Those are a bit heavy so I had to store the polish upside down for a few minutes before fishing them out and hand placing them on the nail. Other than that it was a lovely formula!

Dreams That You Dream Of

Unf. I mean seriously. Just, I swoon when I look at this gorgeous polish you guys. Dreams That You Dream Of is part of Tammy's Somewhere Over the Crelly Rainbow collection and really it's just plain gorgeous. DtYDO features a white crelly base with purple and fuchsia hexes and purple and fuchsia glitters. Application was absolutely lovely, and I did fish one or two of the larger hexes out and hand place them for looks but it wasn't absolutely necessary.

Overall, I can say easily that I am loving this indie maker. These are my first polishes that I got to actually meet the maker and have some pretty awesome conversation. Tammy's polishes are amazing but more than that, her brushes are nice and full which led to fantastic application. I absolutely love these polishes and I'm excited to get the rest of the Over the Crelly Rainbow collection at her online store.
